Jeremy KushnerJuly 29, 1970 to October 8, 2005

JOPLIN (SNS) - Dr. Jeremy Kushner, 35, assistant professor of music at Missouri Southern State University, died early the morning of Saturday, Oct. 8 in a Joplin hospital after suffering a heart attack.

Dr. Kushner was born July 29, 1970, in Gainesville, FL. He held degrees in percussion performance from the University of South Florida, Stephen F. Austin State University. He received his D.M.A. from Arizona State University where he served as a teaching assistant in the percussion department.

Dr. Kushner taught applied percussion, percussion techniques and directed the MSSU drumline and supervised the basketball prep band this semester at Missouri Southern.

Prior to coming to MSSU, he served in similar capacities at the University of Florida and Laredo Community College. He was also on the percussion faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Summer Camp in Twin Lake, MI. He attended the United Hebrew Congregation in Joplin.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Honeycutt Kushner and his daughter, Sarah Rose Kushner, of the home; his parents, David and Rebecca; two brothers, Jason Kushner, of Fayetteville, AR, and Josh and his wife, Patricia Kushner, of Los Angeles, CA; and a niece and a nephew.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at Forest Meadows Chapel in Gainesville, with burial in Forest Meadows Central Cemetery. Individuals are encouraged to contribute to a college fund being established for Jeremy and Donna's daughter, Sarah. Contributions may be sent to the attention of Jim Fleischaker, payable to United Hebrew Congregation, 702 S. Sergeant Ave., Joplin, MO 64801 with a note directing the funds to Sarah Rose Kushner.

Bonnie Brownlee

Bonnie Rebecca Brownlee of Gainesville died March 28, 2001. She was 31.  She was born in Gainesville and was a cosmetologist. She graduated from the School of Cosmetology at Santa Fe Community College, and also attended the University of Florida, Martha Mason Academy, Oak Hall High School and Gainesville High School.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. Survivors include her parents, John M. Brownlee Jr. of Maitland and Jane Brownlee Richardson of Gainesville; a brother, John William "Wil" Brownlee of Melbourne; and a stepmother, Donna Robinson Brownlee of Maitland.


Frank Webster - 1999

   Largo - Frank A. Webster of Largo died Thursday at his residence after a long 
struggle with melanoma.

   He was 28.

   Mr. Webster was a graduate of Gainesville High School and Sante Fe Community
College.  He was an office manager at AABCO Mortgage, Loan and Investments 
Co. in St. Petersburg. 

   Born in Glasgow, Mont., he moved from Gainesville to Largo seven years ago.

   Mr. Webster was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seminole. 

   Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Frank Christopher Webster; a stepson, 
Brandon Murray; his father, Frank Webster of Gainesville: and his stepmother, 
Virginia McCoy Webster of Gainesville.
